Vancouver Island Economic Alliance (VIEA) has been operating since 2007 and is a non-government, non-profit society dedicated to spearheading regional economic development across Vancouver Island and the rural islands region. Funded by memberships, sponsorships, and the annual Summit, VIEA works collaboratively to strengthen and diversify the Island’s economy. You may recognize some of our key initiatives, including Island Good, the ‘State of the Island’ Economic Summit and the Economic Dashboard, a tool providing data-driven insights for regional decision-making. Our vision is a diverse, sustainable, and self-reliant economy for Vancouver Island and the Rural Islands. Our mission is to steward the creation of economic opportunities and improve prospects for a vital Island economy.
